Leading Lines

Leading lines is the path your eyes follow when finding the focal point of an image.

A photographer would use leading lines to draw the viewers attention to the main focus of their image

Symmetry is the proportion and balance of an image.

When creating an image using both symmetry and leading lines it is very important to make sure the focal point is positioned correctly and it is well balanced.

The photographer used the boards of the walkway as the leading lines, in corporation with the plants on the sides to create a balanced symmetrical view.

What did you do to shoot your photo? Audrey and I went up to the track at the gym.
What did you use as your leading lines to draw the viewers attention to a focal point? I used the line dividing the two lanes of the track.
Who is your focal point? Audrey is the focal point of this image
Is your composition symmetrically balanced?  What does this do to the composition? It is not symmetrically balanced. It seems a little busy on the sides of the image.
