Action Photography

Does the action photo show faces/emotion? You mostly see the side or top of the face since these images are from above their bodies.
Does it show the ball/equipment being used? There is no equipment in the image.
Does it show people moving or do they just look like they are standing around? They are in motion practicing their routine.
Does it have good lighting?  Yes, and since the rink is white it helps to make the image brighter.
Is it cropped to help focus on the subject in motion? He wanted to get the Olympic Rings and the name in the image as well as the two skaters, it seems to be cropped slightly.
Is it focused or is it very blurry?  (For this project, some blur can be ok! Especially the if it's the object in motion!) Usually action shots from ice skaters do appear blurry since their movements are so fast, but this is a very clear and focused image.
Was the panning technique used? Yes.

5 things to keep in mind when shooting action photos
https://www.nyip.edu/photo-articles/fun-stuff-for-photographers/five-tips-for-great-action-shots-of-kids
1. Raise your shutter speed
2. Adjust your aperture
3. Turn on continuous shooting mode
4. Use the center focal point
5. Switch to shutter priority mode
One of the strengths in my action photo was.... It is a very clear image, you can tell that she has just hit the ball. There is no blur in the image.
One of the challenges for my action photo was... It is not just focused on her, the background is busy.
In the future, I would overcome the above challenge by ... Taking it from a different angle, or focusing on the image and blur the background.
