Alternative Angles

Facts on alternate angles “Camera angles” is one of those illusive terms in photography that means slightly different things to different people. Here I’ll define it in four basic ways. 1. Vertical orientations: What’s the up-or-down position that you’re taking relative to the subject? Are you above, below, or at the same level of the subject? In other words, are you taking the shot at a level, high, or low angle? Photographers usually refer to this vertical variable as “camera height.” 2. Horizontal orientations: On the plane of space circling around the subject, are you standing in front, behind, or to the side? Of course, this assumes that the subject or scene has a front and back, which would be the case with people, animals, buildings, rooms, cars, or other objects that seem to be in motion or that we tend to anthropomorphize. Abstract Photography

Milk and food coloring experiment Oil and water experiment Which is your favorite photo and why? My favorite photo is the milk and food coloring image. It is my favorite because I like the colors and the way they all came together. What are some of our photography techniques we've learned that you used to capture the abstract photo? Alternative angles were used in this image, I took both these photos from a birds eye view angle. What makes the composition strong? T he way the colors are spread out along the image and the different colors used. Is abstract photography something you might pursue in the future? I think it could be, I like the way the images look and the process of creating them.

Shadows and Light

Since these are birds they're most likely outdoors, I think the light source being used in this photo is the sun. The bodies of the birds are creating this shadow. Since the photo is outdoors potentially, the birds may be standing on pavement, a sidewalk or maybe even a road. This photo looks like it is taken on the floor of a bedroom or living room on top of carpet. There is light reflecting from a windows blinds, when the sun shines through the blinds it creates this pattern on the persons arm. For this image I set my water bottle in front of a lamp on the table in the art room. I turned my phone to an upward angle to get the shadow. I also edited this photo so it would have more contrast.
