- Keep your distance
- When shooting macro with a digicam always use the LCD screen for viewing, never use the optical viewfinder
- Make sure you have proper lighting

-The subject is a seahorse which is fairly small
-There is not much of a background but it seems to be in underwater
-The focus is the details on the seahorse
-There is a shallow depth of field because the subject is in focus while the water in the background is not
-Flash may have been used because the subject is very well lit seeing that its under water and the background is very dark.
